Focus on preserving the natural world
JMA support the global consensus set forth in the 2015 Paris Agreement and continues to focus on innovating to decarbonize industry, accelerating global climate solutions, and improving our environmental footprint. We will continue to drive climate solutions in our operations, products and communities, and actively promote green changes in production methods and lifestyles.

We are taking action in the fight against climate change by planning to make our operations carbon neutral by 2050
We are working towards the goal of "reducing the carbon emissions by 25% by 2030 and by 2050 to be carbon neutral", formulating strategies and focusing on local solutions to reduce the carbon emissions of our communities.
Progress towards goal In 2023, we installed a photovoltaic power generation system. The project adopted the grid connection mode of "self use and surplus power online", and install solar panels on the roof and ground. After completion, the annual power generation will reach 5% of our total electricity in 2021, and will effectively reduce the temperature in the plant and the cost of temperature reduction in summer. |

Reduce energy consumption, improve economic efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions Energy efficiency exists in any economic form. We have always understood the input and output of energy in various fields from various aspects and levels, compared the effect of input energy and output, and improved the reasonable and effective utilization of energy.
Progress towards goal In 2019, we replaced all boilers in Nansha plant area. The plant fully used low-nitrogen steam boilers and carried out waste heat recovery to produce hot water and steam to supply other production sections and domestic water.
In 2020, our Nansha plant has installed a digital energy management system to monitor the power and energy supply in the plant, grasp the energy status in real time, and effectively analyze the energy efficiency, use and demand. |
In 2019, JMA has replaced all boilers in Nansha plant, and the plant has fully used low nitrogen steam fired boilers. The low nitrogen boiler can not only improve the thermal efficiency, but also reduce the NOx emission content from 150mg to below 30mg.

Electroplating and coating manufacturing rely on water as an important component. We are working towards the goal of “achieve 100% production using circular water or regenerative water by 2050”. Through cooperation and technology, we strengthen the management of water resource utilization efficiency, establish and improve the system and mechanism conducive to water conservation, strengthen the monitoring and management of water use, strengthen the pollution management of surface water and groundwater, and enhance the awareness of the whole staff, form the fashion of consciously cherishing water, protecting water and saving water, truly and permanently improve the availability and quality of water, and realize the sustainable development and sustainable use of water resources.

While reducing waste is the first choice, other possibilities, such as reusing, recycling, and composting, can also fuel the circular economy by getting more out of our materials and allowing them to continue into their next life. That means increasing product and process optimization, on-site and offsite recycling, and composting focusing on recycling. We drive “zero waste” thinking with our product designs, process technologies, and material reduction work within our manufacturing operations. To support our circularity efforts, we also continue to work internally and with our suppliers on their packaging of raw materials. Even one change in a material we use can have profound impacts over time if it enables continued reuse.
